Air Canada will no extended be accepting animals to travel in the baggage compartment of its flights until mid-September, as airways throughout the nation battle with crushing demand and sky-large hold out instances.

Bringing a pet in the cabin is even now authorized and will price tag $50 for flights within Canada and the US (excluding Hawaii), the airline claimed, and $100 for global flights.

“Due to extended than standard airport delays, and for the safety and convenience of your pet, we will not be accepting new requests for animals travelling in the baggage compartment until finally September 12, 2022,” the airline website mentioned.

All latest pet bookings will be honoured and it will not have an impact on skilled service animals, nor more compact animals travelling in the cabin, a spokesperson advised CBC Information.
